Reading Lists

I’ve read every single one of these books, and a few hundred more that didn’t make the cut for quality. Read them and you’ll learn something.

Books for Erotic Hypnotists

Learning Erotic Hypnosis is easy, fun and safe – you read the right books in the right order, practice frequently with a partner you trust, learn to go into trance yourself so you know what it feels like, and avoid the pitfall of too much reading and theory, and not enough action and practice. Within 3 months, you can go from know-nothing beginner to accomplished intermediate.

I did a whole Podcast specifically on Learning Erotic Hypnosis, check that out for more details and a full learning pathway.

When it comes to learning, reading one book properly is worth a thousand disjointed tumblr posts.

The most important thing

The most important thing to remember is this: Erotic Hypnosis is just a subset of ordinary Hypnosis Techniques with some sexy content thrown in – the same techniques still apply (Erotic Hypnosis can be considered a subset of a broader category of “Hypnosis” of which Stage and Therapeutic work are also subsets). Learning general hypnosis will make you a better erotic hypnotist – once that solid, practised hypnotic technique is combined with some awesome, sexy content. Take inspiration from everywhere – I myself have taken inspiration for some of my best Scenes from Nanotechnology, the physics of how stars form and function, the growth of plants, how to knit, Harry Potter (Imperius Curse anyone?), the TV show Tru Blood (Vampirism and being drained of will and strength, compulsion, ownership and hierarchy – this show is a gold mine), Pharmacology, books, movies, broader or famous scenes in media. You can use anything you and your partner enjoy to take both of you on a journey of fun, domination, sexy awakening, or just plain old brainwashing.

Below you will find a fairly comprehensive list of hypnosis and erotic hypnosis specific textbooks and written resources, the result of many years of my own reading, study and research. For further content on the subject of Erotic Hypnosis check out the Links page for some good EH podcasts, websites and other useful software, educational resources, etc. Mark Cunninghams Essential Renegade Hypnosis is good but definitely not for people without a strong foundational skillset and a developed sense of ethics.

Notable Authors: James Gordon, LeeAllure, Mark Wiseman, Peter Masters, Flagg, Joseph Crown.

Foundational Texts

TLDR: Pick any one of these three, depending on which one appeals to you the most. “Mastering Erotic Hypnosis” is a classic textbook, with each part of the book broken into sections and covers a wider range of specific hypnofetish niches like Puppy / Kitty Transformations, Robotisation, and more hypnotic phenomena as does “Mind Play”. The other introductory text on the subject by Peter Masters is shorter, tightly written and very easy to apply – important in an introductory text designed to be USED, not simply read.

Managing a Hypnosis-based Relationship

The Tao of Relationship Maintenance for Mind Controllers by Joseph Crown

Safety Note – Joseph Crowns sections on creating “alters” can cause permanent and dangerous side effects. Avoid using those techniques unless you have been specifically trained in them by a Professional and understand how to resolve and dissolve them. If you require assistance in undoing them or the work of other hypnotists, use the Contact page to get in touch.

The Essential Renegade Hypnosis by Mark Cunningham

Purchase it here. An Intermediate-level video and audio course of study detailing a proven process to use erotic hypnosis to create more empowered and more sensual women and men. Ignore marketing page, this stuff works, it works incredibly well, and its a core part of my relationships. He’s an excellent Hypnotist but his stuff will be completely incomprehensible unless you already know how the pieces work, so study other stuff first then come to this later. He’s a pioneer and trailblazer in this field, an all around great guy and is actively developing some cutting edge stuff.

Learning General Hypnosis – The HLSS Cards

Get these Cards – They are free ($6 for shipping) and they come with a series of videos on their use. They are the single most effective tool I have found for creating and teaching effective hypnotists, and this includes erotic hypnotists. (Though the cards themselves are not erotic in nature, it’s very simple to layer in erotic content when you practice). Buy them, use them. You will have to click through a few pages of marketing fluff on the website to get to the purchase page, just scroll down and move forward. They are worth it.

Books for General Hypnotists

Hypnosis is a complex skillset, and for that reason not all of it’s different facets (Erotic, Therapeutic, Stage, Comedy, etc) need to be grasped before you actually start practising with a partner, merely the fundamentals. The basic skills of a successful and effective Hypnosis Session include how to establish authority, how to set up a session, establish boundaries, negotiate content, induce trance, deliver on the experience, handle any negative reactions, and emerge with positive suggestions. Adding extra techniques from the Erotic or Therapeutic fields (if have been appropriately trained by a qualified professional) can come after a solid basis of experience has been established. For that, any one of the books below in the Introductory Texts will do, there is no need to read all of them as there is a significant overlap in content covered.

A Note of Caution: Some of these Therapeutic based techniques are significantly more powerful than simple direct suggestion and can result in changes that are difficult to undo. Always consider the end goal, the capabilities and desires of yourself and your subject, and your technical abilities and moral character when going deeper into longer term change. My solid advice to you is to always learn how to UNDO an effect, before you learn how to apply it – and to only apply effects that you personally know how to undo. If you get stuck and need a hand – contact me for advice using the contact page.

Books for Men

First, learn how to say no to people. Second, learn effective strategies for meeting your needs, Third, develop an empowering personal philosophy. Fourth, learn more about being a man.

The first thing we’ll do is teach you about your Boundaries and how to say no to people – because if you can’t say no to people, you can’t ever really say yes to the things in life that truly make YOU happy. This can be a scary thing, but you’ll get through it. We’ll discuss how to find and define boundaries with yourself and with others. Then we’ll build an empowering Personal Philosophy of Life, that encourages strength and reflects your masculine nature, embraces who you are and what makes you feel happy, complete and powerful as a man. Its a simple, staged process that builds on itself. The resource’s in this list have been chosen because they are: cheap, accessible and easy to read. Study them in order from top to bottom and you’ll notice how the concepts all fit together and build on the topics that came before.

Books for Dominants and Masters

This list was made for the legions of Heterosexual Male Dominants out there not currently being given any real guidance in how to progress in their relationships or in their development and evolution as Powerful, Worthy Dominants. There is a lot out there for Gay Men, for Leather (Dr Bob Rubel is an excellent source for information into that particular subculture) but the huge majority of growing and upcoming Dominants are not being welcomed into the Harmonious Relationships, the Happiness, the Power and Ownership that is their birthright as Men, and this list is for them.

Many good Male Self-Improvement and Business texts are also very valuable, particularly ones around improving your Executive abilities.

Note: After being Vanilla comes Dominance, after Dominance comes Mastery. Even if a Dominant chooses not to go deeply into Mastery (and that is his right, it is a very full-on life and the overwhelming majority of people will be truly happier as Dominants), it is still very valuable for him to have an understanding of the area and take what practices and concepts he might wish to take from it. In that respect LT Morrisons books are pure diamonds and highly recommended.

Every single one of these books must be read in order to cover the full range of skills an effective Dominant will require in their Ownership and Use of another Human. Every book on Core Texts list is essential and not a single one can be skipped. Once the Core Curriculum has been read, there are further books listed for teaching and training Submissives in specific areas of competency. A similar themed required reading list for Submissives is included below. Much effort has been made to eliminate any texts that are anti-male – if you encounter the occasional paragraph of SJW nonsense in the books below, rest assured they are by far the best of the possible options and skip over those sections completely with my blessing.

Within the world of erotic fiction, there are a handful of titles mentioned over and over for their influence on the genre and their historical potency. These books have created entire subcultures, and shaped the expressions of desire of happy, healthy kink folk the world over. In the spirit of education, the most well known and seminal titles are listed above. I suggest that you read any of these books that appeal to you, and if you find a deep love of one or more, that it can provide clues to the overall direction of your explorations deeper into your wants and desires, where you feel most at home. Enjoy!

Much of this content will mirror the Dominants list, as being a Dominant requires a broad and deep knowledge, while a Submissives knowledge is often a subset of that combined with a lot of training on how their particular Owner likes things done. As a Submissive, your purpose in life is to serve and be useful to your Dominant. However, the more skills you can bring to the relationship, the more valuable you will be and these books cover the real fundamentals and basics of being a useful Submissive.

The two books on the Required List are non-negotiable, they will teach you how to take care of yourself, set boundaries, and be a healthy and pleasing submissive, as well as how to truly serve and be at peace with your service in a meaningful way.

The path of a submissive is sometimes hard, and often joyful. You are special, you are chosen, and whom you choose to serve give your life tremendous meaning and importance. You have so much to contribute, and you will find you place.

I believe in you.
